My Haul at my Favorite Store + Scrapbook Essentials Giveaway

Standard

It’s rainy season once again here in the Philippines! It’s quite hassle to go elsewhere than home. Chillin’ inside the house reminds me of my hobby way back in high school- scrapbooking.

I am always fascinated by those little colorful objects as they give life to an empty page. I still got a collection of it now a days. I always see to it that I have at least a bank of scrapbook essentials on my reach so that if I want to ease down boredom, I can just make something simple turn fab.

Just a box of assorted scrapbook essentials. I love how colorful they are!

Today, that hobby seems to be awaken as my mom requested me to drop by my favorite store- National Book Store to buy my sister a drawing book. As I stroll around it, I just can’t help but to visit the shelves of scrap book materials. I was amazed by some affordable 3D stickers I saw which made me buy 4 sets of it. Also, I saw some handmade twisted paper cords which I think something very nice for whatever I wish to design in the future. I also drop by the gift wrap section to see new designs of gift wrappers and I got a floral one for my things in school. It actually looks very summer! Then, I got 2 highlighters for my upcoming reading activity. I got neon orange and pink. (Yikes! So girly!) And lastly, the real reason why I am there, I got a drawing book for my sissy.

My mini-haul at my favorite store.

That haul can actually attest to my craziness about scrapbooking. Yes! I am still a fan of it. I design anything… from clothes to papers. Name it, I will design it. For me, it explains my personality. I am not a “plain” person, I always want things around me to have a personal touch and look fabulous.

Here are some of the things I designed years back.

A page from my Physics lecture notebook. I think the designs in my notes inspired me to study harder.

I delicately pick on what designs I will use in my high school journal notebook. It is so neat and elegant, right?

Flexy fuzzy wires had been my favorites yet it is really hard to glue on that's why this one is quite messy.

Intricate designs are wonderful but needs a lot of effort.

I love stripes ever-since specially the colorful ones, just like this.

Sometimes, I also try to use mix materials. In this one some details are made of cloth, colored glue and glossy gift wrapper.

This one is so simple and neat because it has to be like that. I just designed this one with sprinkles of water color, a plain border and thoughtful words.
